Why Indlu Living?
Born in South Africa’s affordable rental economy, Indlu Living has helped hundreds of ordinary property owners turn spare rooms and underused plots into safe, income-earning homes. We built the business model and technology to list units, collect rent, and manage projects end-to-end.

Affordability Check
We'll require you to send through a few documents (like payslips and bank statements) so we can do the standard legal checks and see if you qualify for this type of home loan.

Let's meet in person
Now that you have some clarity on the product you are interested in, we will set up a meeting to discuss what the process will look like going forward, and you'll be required to sign some forms in order for us to continue with the process.

Get pre-approved
After we have collected all the necessary documents and signatures, we will conduct our credit assessment. If successful, we notify you that you have been pre-approved

Property Approval & Purchase
After final approval, you'll be sent a term-sheet that sets out the basic T&C's of your agreement, which you may accept or decline. Once you've accepted, you will sign all the agreements necessary to release funds and transfer the property.

This sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?
There’s no catch, but there are requirements: compliant properties, realistic rental numbers, and basic credit criteria. Think of it this way: traditional banks ignore half your income. We count all of it.
How does rental‑backed finance work?
We approve you for higher amounts by including your property's rental income in the affordability assessment. Properties with rental potential (rooms, cottages, granny flats, etc.) qualify for facilities where tenant rent contributes to monthly repayments, reducing what you pay out of pocket.
What kind of properties can I buy?
Any pre-approved property or a compliant property already producing or with the potential of producing rental income.
